- The Fairfield Waters display model located at the Sales and Information Centre shows how master planning has captured and retained the natural character of the Ross River and enhanced the natural waterways, trees and parklands.
- The master planning of the Fairfield Waters development in Townsville has been recognised in the Urban Development Institute of Australia's North Queensland Excellence Awards. The award acknowledges the innovative pre planning period preceding the launch of this Master Planned Community.
- Fairfield Waters is the largest single development application ever approved by the Townsville City Council and Queensland's third largest development proposal outside of Brisbane.
- Once complete, Fairfield Waters will be home to almost 2000 families.
- More than 22 percent of the estate has been set aside for landscaped parkland reserves that will include a network of picturesque walkways along the Ross River and along the Fairfield Waters extensive lake systems, cycle paths and playgrounds.
- A recreational lake system throughout Fairfield Waters has been designed to have a continuous flow of water and will be maintained at a constant level throughout the different seasons. Lakeside flora and fauna will be an essential part of this feature.
- The riverside community blends in with the unique and natural beauty of the Ross River and the rain trees growing throughout the development. Natural vegetation in the form of individual trees and groups of trees are retained and buffering planting are important elements of the Master Landscaping Plan.
- The commercial component of Fairfield Waters will incorporate 65 hectares of the development and will provide community facilities including a medical centre, shopping centre, restaurants, cafes and a retirement village. Fairfield Waters currently has two new Daycare Centres.
