HIA GREENSMART AWARD WINNER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EXCELLENCE
This award acknowledges the Fairfield Waters sustainable environmental management strategy including revegetation, water quality management and the maintenance of the sites immense natural resources of established trees, riverfront parkland and natural lagoons.
FAIRFIELD WATERS UDIA AWARD WINNERS
 The master planning of the Fairfield Waters development in Townsville has been acclaimed in the Urban Development Institute of Australias North Queensland Excellence Awards.
The award acknowledges the intensive three-year planning period by developers Fairfield Land Pty Ltd preceding the launch of this residential estate in 1999. The master plan for Fairfield Waters incorporates both residential and commercial components integrated with leisure and recreational facilities.
The urban development award is testimony to the innovative planning solutions used to facilitate the ongoing development of this project over its projected ten-year time frame. The strong cooperation between government agencies and the various proponents of the project was an excellent example of an effective partnership throughout the pre-planning, development approval and implementation phases of the development.
